We shot our first wedding this weekend, up on Mt. Bonnell in Austin, TX. It's a beautiful location, out east you can see the city, and to the west the Colorado river winds it's way through the Hill Country. This was a tricky shoot, we had to set up the darkbox in the bushes, in order to avoid as much dust and sunlight as we could. It was an early morning shoot but, this being Texas, the heat and humidity were already rising and wreaking havoc on the collodion. Still, we got some great shots, and they each have a character that tells a story of the location and conditions under which they were taken. Once they are varnished, these tintypes will last for generations, hopefully to be passed down to the grandchildren as these two grow old together.
Congratulations, you guys!
